Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!

Well we survived!
The first My Spare Time Designs
Trunk Show was a huge success!

Mr. MySpareTime and I couldn't be happier
about the outcome of our first venture
into a private show.

It was so nice to see all our great friends
and to meet a few new ones!

Here are the last pictures we took before the show.

I wish we had thought to get pictures of the outside too,
but we were so busy we forgot to do that.

We learned a few things along the way;
*  1. we will start the show earlier on Friday
*  2. we will only be open on Saturday until noon

I think if that is the only learning curve, we did pretty well.

And this is what it looks like now.

Quite a change.  We had a few pieces left over,
but I am still getting calls from people who missed
the show and want to come by and see what is left.

Thank you again to everyone who came and
made this Trunk Show so special.
See you next year!

Thanks for stopping by.

One Day Left

Tomorrow is the BIG DAY!!

Here are a few photos of the way I
have my studio set up.

Just a preview of things to come.
I am still working on 17 more items today.

If you are coming to the show,
just look for the signs.
We are around back in the studio!

Thanks for stopping by!

Still working!

Just thought I would post a few photos
of the last things that I am still
working on.
{sorry for the picture quality}

We are trying to get out orders, we
printed 700 postcards this morning and
filled 6 orders.  Now I am headed to Lowe's
and need to be home early because I am
baby sitting today and the housekeepers are
coming at 11am.
{boy are they a luxury, my house just
sparkles and I can keep working!}

A few picture frames for old photos or new ones!

What a sweet photo!

An old recipe box painted with a jolly duo of Santa
and Ginger!  Inside are recipe cards that can be used
for favorite holiday recipes or you could have family
members record their favorite holiday memory.

And two canvas pillows, Holy Night and Silent Night!

Well, better get back to work and I hope to see you
at the craft show.
Thanks for stopping by.

Last Real Push

These are the last few days before our
Private Trunk Show and my work
table is full of unfinished projects.

I had promised to post pictures every day
but that is just not happening!  I have
every intention, but life just gets
in the way.

Here are a few things that are finished.

A new primitive lighted Santa.

A great new Santa with a swag of lighted greenery.

And this guy, a wonderful old vintage
ironing board turned into a great looking
Santa, complete with lighted tree.  I couldn't
bring myself to remove the ironing board legs
because this old piece had sawdust padding, a rusty
wash board for a place to hold the iron and the best
part was the doodling on the legs in pencil.  I can
just see some little kid playing under that ironing board
as their mom or grandmother worked.  You can see
a star and two letters, N A.  I want to believe it is for
NANA, probably wishful thinking!

I'm still hard at work, so stay tuned, there will be
something special on Thursday's post!
Thanks for stopping by.
